Position Summary:

 

The Agricultural Science Teacher provides high-quality instruction in agricultural education while serving as the advisor for the local National FFA Organization chapter.  This position integrates classroom instruction, oversight of Supervised Agricultural Experience, and leadership development through FFA.  The teacher promotes student achievement, career readiness, and community engagement within the agricultural industry.

 

Required:

 

• Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education or related field.
• Valid state teaching certificate in Agricultural Education
• Willigness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, for FFA activities and events.
• Pass an OSBI background check.

Preferred:

 

• Experience advising FFA or similar student leadership organizations.
• Background in the agricultural industry or related experience.
• Experience managing agricultural labs, shops and/or greenhouses.
